Eagle Environmental Technologies Ltd, Reno, NV, (symbol
EGVR, OTC Exchange, www.egvr.com), Brian D. Wilmot, CEO, announced on June 18,
2003 that EDC Engineering Inc. of Santa Fe, NM and Eagle have confirmed the
sale to a Tunisian (North Africa) customer requiring a finished product of
caustic soda using concentrated brines as the feed stock. “Our equipment will
be used to concentrate and pre-treat the feed stock which is seawater, that
will be fed to the special clarifier and then to the electrolyzer to produce
the end product”, said Wilmot.
Contracts have been instigated and funds have been arranged
to build, test, and deliver the equipment to the customer as a small working
plant, with a long-term development package for much larger plants if desired.
“This new construction and proprietary use arrangement will enable EDC and
Eagle to continue the development of specialized plants, and provide us with a
demonstration capability to new customers”, stated Mr. Wilmot. The first unit
is expected to be ready for operation by late fall. “Jim Frye, President and
chief engineer of EDC, has been exceptional in getting this new application on
line as it has multiple uses in several foreign countries that have to rely on
seawater for the original source of process water”, said Wilmot.
The first small plant, with related equipment, costs
approximately $935,000. The larger capacity plant requested by the customer
will cost approximately $5.7 mm to build. Eagle will provide the water
pre-treatment equipment, electrolyzer and clarifier equipment. Our associates
in Albuquerque, NM will be assembling the skid-mounted units under the
supervision of Jim Frye. All hook-ups will be pre-set before leaving the USA.
